Eve goes to doctor McMillan's speech , about the rocks and bottles , and she also listened to how there may be another explosion the next week, so she organised a plan to go with Ian to the woods and talk about the research with Matt.
I think since they faked finding the diamond, Matt will be in huge trouble and will most likely be threatened or beaten. He might have protection but they just teased the gang, which will become more furious and violent.
